Something strange happend, when I tried to run this rather big case (10^6 cells).

http://therealsega.th.funpic.de/open...n3DSend.tar.gz

The solver just quit with the message "killed" after the first timestep.

When running in paralle I got this additional message:

mpirun noticed that job rank 1 with PID 5466 on node M1530 exited on signal 15 (Terminated).
1 process killed (possibly by Open MPI)

Whats that?

If I use just 40 % of the above number of cells the solver is running ...

How is that?
Not enough memory?

Hi

No problems in time-stepping on my machine. 2GB of memory. The solver uses up to 900MB and including OS-uses it goes to 1200MB.

Hi Sebastian,

You ran out of memory and the operating system killed your process (in self defence)

Yes, that was right!
If you remember, I'm using a virtual environment to run my linux system.
I just doubled the the amount of memory and now it's working.

Thanks!
