enok is on a distinguished road
I have just started using OpenFOAM and I have a question:

What surface interpolation scheme and member functions can be used to compute a left and right reconstructed/extrapolated value at each cell surface?

The purpose is to make an explicit solver using characteristic upwind for compressible flow. For this I need two values: extrapolated values from left and right at each cell surface. I was hoping that there may already be code for this in OpenFOAM?

Thanks.
