Hi,
I'm using snappyHexMesh on .stl files with multiples inlets/outlets and the feature edges snaping gives usually good results to resolve they shape. However I sometimes end with meshes likes that: My snappyHexMeshDict is : http://pastebin.com/ZAJrzCRP I tried playing with the different snapping option especially the tolerance, without great success. Any idea on how to improve that ? Best regards, Florian |

Hi Florian,
1. I would check your castellated mesh 2. Try to use implicitFeatureSnap 3. Try to refine this area more 4. Try to set your "nCellsBetweenLevels" higher 5. Refine your Inlet Face Regards Tobi |

Hi !
Thank you for the reply. Took me some time but I finally managed to get a good looking mesh : I used the implicitFeatureSnap instead of explicit, increased the number of cells and reduced the snapping iterations. Regards. |
