Hi.
I'm quite new to the CFD world and post-processing in ParaView. I am studying the flow past a rectangular cylinder (2D case). I am trying to calculate the vorticity, and to get different colours (signs) for clockwise and counter-clockwise directions. But I have no idea where to start, so can anyone please help me?

I would appreciate if you could keep your answers as simple as possible, so that a newbie like me would understand them

I might have an answer for you, depending on how deep you wanted to go with Vorticity. Try looking within:

Filters > Alphabetical > Gradient of Unstructured Dataset

Within the tool, you should select the cog/gear-symbol to get extra options for working with the unstructured mesh. You should select Compute Vorticity and give it a name. Sometimes the data won't work in its raw/imported form. I've been able to fix this by changing the cell data to point data (a separate filter) or using Merge Blocks.
