Hello all,

I need some suggestions on how to read vtk files that are present on a network drive.

Here is my system configuration:
The simulation data is saved on an linux archive drive. The linux drive is mounted on my windows machine & I can remotely access all the files (read & write).

Now, I launched ParaView on my windows machine & tried to access the files. The share drives are not shown from the file menu. Only local windows drives are being shown. Also, the path to the folder is not editable (see attached screenshot).

Microsoft Excel is able to access all the files from the share drive.

Any ideas? This will save the effort to copy the files to local windows machine. Thank you.

Found a fix..

From network drive, open the file with 'Open with' option, & browse for the paraview executable.

It is located at "<path-of-paraview-installation-folder>\ParaView 5.1.0\bin\paraview.exe"
