Hello, I am working on unstructured-grid solver as I mentioned before.
I exported a grid data using CAE solver(tecplot format) and exported it again through tecplot.(Because a grid data was written in binary, I wanted a ASCII type.) Anyway, I could see that boundary points were listed seperately from points inside the domain(which are not in boundaries) but their order was quite messy; for example, for far-field points, I want them listed in counter-clockwise, while solid wall points listed in clockwise. But now, see those figures. So here my questions; Is there any way I can try to set a proper order to grid points? Thanks for reading. Waiting for replies. P.S. my grid has four connectors; two for solid wall, two for far-field. and one domain. |

Unfortunately, you cannot control the ordering of the points being exported from Pointwise. The clockwise/counterClockwise ordering that your solver requires is not explicitly supported by Pointwise.
The best workarounds I can offer to you are:
I think changing your solver import code is the best, long-term solution. It gives you the most import flexibility. If changing your solver import code is not an option, I would suggest creating a Pointwise CAE plugin. This will give you the most control over the format of the exported grid data. You can find more information on the Pointwise CAE Plugin SDK website. I hope this helps. |

My prof. gave me a program which finds boundary points.
I will modify that code |
