If I am not getting you wrong you mean to say...

If I am not getting you wrong you mean to say that you have done the blocking of cylinder in vertical position and then tilted the blocking at the angle, is it so?

Really great but how you have done the inclined cut in the vicinity of inclined cylinder(this has made the job simple for you)?
