Hi Guys,
I need help, I have ran a simulation on vessel in calm water. there is a problem with my solution. I ran 3 refinement grid, coarse, medium and fine. The solution for coarse grid looks ok to me, medium looks kind of weird too, but the problem was on fine grid. There is a weird kind of wave form in the domain, looks like it genarate wave at the inlet boundary.I am not sure what is the problem. can someone help me and explain what is the problem there and how to fix it. thanks *I attached the solution image Last edited by miharbi; September 17, 2012 at 10:11. |

Could you post some pictures showing a longitudinal cross-section of the grid?
Another thing to check would be your initial and boundary conditions. Is it possible that something may be wrong there (maybe the level of the heavy fluid?) and that is getting damped out to give you what you want in the coarsest simulation? Ryan
