Default 2D simulation - ICEM meshing for CFX question

Dear Sirs,

I've been trying to get the grid in ICEM for Ansys CFX to make 2D simulation.

I would like to have 3D mesh with 1-element width to use Symmetry condition on the flat surfaces. To do this I use ICEM in the following manner:

1. Create plane drawing 2. Surface mesh this drawing 3. Extrude mesh to 1 layer 4. Output to CFX

As a result I have 3D mesh in ANSYS CFX, but I can't make any boundary conditions as I have no 2D regions.

Could you help me? What steps should I do to make 3D mesh with 1-element width? I would like to have the mesh like in "Free Surface Flow Over a Bump" in the CFX tutorial.

Thank you!
