IGES/IGS format geometry file for icem meshing

I am trying to import the igs geometry file into ICEM for generating mesh. I am just wondering if the iges/igs file exported from CAD package can be used directly for icem meshing. I use' buid topology' to check the geometry quality, it seems all right, there is no hole/gap in the geometry file. But I still think the surface is not smooth enough for meshing. Do I need to clean it up (like regenerate the surface) anyone has the similar experience? any idea on it!
Thank you very much in advance littlelz |
