Hi!

I want to know if it is possible in the fluent to employ wall function just for a certain walls and not for the all. I think there is something with enhanced wall function, but I'm not sure.
This is very useful when there are some walls with the fine mesh and some other with the course mesh using wall function.

Hi!

Then how its work? can we have any control on it to impose wall function to the certain walls, or it is done by FLUENT? Can we change the condition of its blending function?
What is the maximum Y+ acceptable by using wall function?
thx!

It is done by Fluent. Yes you can you change blending function through UDF I guess.

Essentially for Y+ < 5 it employs integration to wall approach. For Y+ >30 it uses pure wall function. In buffer zone it uses blending function.
