December 13, 2001, 21:18 Direct calculation of temperature gradient #1 J.W.Ryu Guest   Posts: n/a Hi, all. I am using Fluent 5.5 to calculate thermal and fluid flow on 2d model. To get temperature gradient at specific area, I am conducting bored procedure as follows; 1) Make two lines with constant distance in Interia region (specific area where I would like to know) 2) Save temerature data on these lines as xy file. 3) Caclurate temperature gradient in Spread sheet from xy file. This work is very tedious and needed time spending. Does anybody let me know how I can get temperature gradient from fleunt directly? Best regards, J.W.Ryu

In solid face of 2d model, I make two lines at interior region by entering coordinates x and y.Then, write xy file for temperature of these lines. I calculate temperature gradient from excel spreadshet. Thanks,

Happy Christmas!
