# flow around bullet

 March 26, 2004, 04:31 flow around bullet #1 arthur Guest   Posts: n/a My name is Arthur, i'm newcomer. i'm student now. My final task is about flow around bullet, i have geometry of bullet, but i having problem to simulate it, can you help me please? what version Fluent that i shall use to simulate this? thank you very much!!!

 March 26, 2004, 05:53 Re: flow around bullet #2 FJ Guest   Posts: n/a Hi, I think that the flow aroud a bullet is super sonic flow, isn't it?. This kind of flow, selecting Fluent solver is to be important. Fluent's version is not important(every version Fluent what were released before can calculate it(except FLUENT4)). Select "Coupled-Implicit" or "Coupled-Explicit". (Default solver is "Segregated" and this solver does not suit your problem. It is also able to calculate but the accuracy is not good for high mach number flow). I recommend "Coupled-Explict", this solver is similar with RAMPANT. Thank you FJ
