Is it correct to use "SessionManager" while originally MS Windows 7 registers contains "Session Manager" (with space)?

Dear Foamers,

I tried to install the OpenFOAM package 15.06 provided by CFD Support on my Win 7 Computer that I updated to Win 10 recently. Using Win 7 and Win 10 I had problems with some commands mentioned in this thread (e.g. "paraFoam", "paraview" didn't work [see Ananthakrishnan]). I figured out in my case the problem was my windows account name. It consisted of two words (First and last name) leadind to automatically created folder-/filenames in OpenFOAM containing a blank. Since OpenFOAM doesn't like blanks I tried the following:

1) Uninstall openFOAM and all related programs
(I also removed the C++ 2010 Redistributable Packages and Microsoft MPI --> solves the newer version problem of saucisse volante)

2) Change your windows account name so it doesn't contain a space (I even created a completely new "CFD-account")

3) Reinstall the OpenFOAM Package with all components

Since then everything works well. Hope that helps someone.

Best regards from Heidelberg, Germany

I am using the cfd support openFoam from the windows command prompt (ie not from cygwin). Everything works fine, but for parallel processing. I tried quite a few setup for MS-MPI but it looks like there is some conflict with another MPI installation as I am getting these kinds of errors:

Code:
Aborting: mpi appplication on POSEIDON is unable to connect to the smpd manager on (null):60026 error 1722

Any idea?
