are there any additional supplementary softwares for openFOAM, like a GUI or anything like that?

Nothing official, though there are a few options like http://dicehub.net/introducing-dice/ and http://engys.com/products/helyx-os though both have their limitations.

New OF user here. Would you be able to expand upon what these limitations are? Especially for Helyx.
