I have 32 GB ram, Intel Xeon processor X5660, 2.80 GHz, 12 MB cache, 1333 MHz memory, Six-Core (two processors) and win7 . But I couldn't run fluent in parallel (local Machine) with x processes. Please help me how to run it?

Windows 7. There is no error but it is not getting ready to use even I left it for more than 2hrs.
Host is swapping node 0 on machine "<computer name>" (win64) You can press CTRL+c to stop the startup process! After this message nothing will appear on message. |

hi,
ensure that you had installed mpi correctly and the paths are set correctly too. then if it dosnt spawn, check that any firewall on your computer is disabled(I think this is your problem). if this dosnt help too, try net interconnection instead of default one. tell me about the results. yours, mohammad |

I have tried to open a parallel version of fluent (local Machine). When I want to start fluent I got following error:
------------------------------------------------- Loading "\VMEERTENS-PC\C$\PROGRA~1\ANSYSI~1\v120\fluent\fluent12.0.16\ lib\fl114-64.dmp" Done Welcome to ANSYS FLUENT 12.0.16 Copyright 2009 ANSYS Inc. Error Object: (grid-valid?) version> Interrupting... Done. Error: There is no active application. Error Object: (grid-valid?) ------------------------------------------------- I tried the other settings under “parallel settings” but I still got the same error message. I didn’t install any MPI software because I thought it is already integrated in W7. Maybe this has something to do with the Fluent prerequisites I installed the first time? If I remember it well, Fluent installed the C++ 2005 version and asked for a change in the control panel for a SP. If anyone has an idea for successful parallel settings, please let me know. Sincerely |
