Hi,
I'm trying to install OF-1.7.1 on a 32 bit PC with ubuntu 10.04, but I have trouble with setting the path. Here 's the message I get after using the checking system script foamInstallationTest : WARNING: Conflicting installations: OpenFOAM settings : /home/lynda1/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.7.1/applications/bin/linuxGccDPOpt/icoFoam current path : CRITICAL ERROR Could anyone help. Thanks. Lyna |

Greetings Lyna,
Read this post: Building OpenFOAM1.7.0 from source post #4 and onward There you'll find which packages you need to install for building OpenFOAM in Ubuntu The rest is as simple as following the page you were reading in www.openfoam.com. Also, when running Allwmake, you might want to run it like this: Code:
./Allwmake > make.log 2>&1 Best regards, Bruno
