We are happy to announce that CFX Berlins’ meshing software TwinMesh Version 2016 has just been released.

TwinMesh is a unique grid generation software for the moving parts of rotary positive displacement machines. Combining TwinMesh and ANSYS CFX offers engineers an efficient and fast workflow for transient, three-dimensional computational fluid and thermal analyses of gerotor pumps, lobe pumps, gear pumps, scroll compressors, progressive cavity pumps, and screw compressors at maximum reliability.

TwinMesh imports rotor profiles via IGES-curves or point coordinates from your CAD-system. Hence, structured meshes for a user defined number of rotor positions and a user defined mesh quality are generated by the software and then exported into ANSYS CFX-Pre. The export data of TwinMesh contains all required meshes for a transient flow simulation and also ready-to-run simulation templates, which enable an immediate start of a flow analysis within ANSYS CFX.
