NUMECA and FlowKit Announce a Strategic Partnership

NUMECA and FlowKit are proud to announce the establishment of an exclusive partnership around the industrial exploitation of the Lattice Boltzmann code PALABOS.

The new product OMNIS/LB from NUMECA is an exclusive integrated version of the Open source code PALABOS, in a monolithic enhanced configuration, with a large range of functionalities.

The OMNIS/LB product is being extended by the partners towards a large variety of industrial applications and processes, within the highly user friendly platform OMNIS from NUMECA.

About FlowKit Ltd

FlowKit Ltd. was founded in September 2011 by four associate partners originating from the Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne, and from Geneva University. With backgrounds from fluid dynamics, theoretical physics, bioengineering and computer science, they gathered their knowledge to develop the Lattice Boltzmann code PALABOS over more than 10 years, covering today a large range of complex physical applications. FlowKit is looking forward to the stimulating technological and industrial opportunities provided by the partnership with NUMECA, in promoting the Lattice Boltzmann methodologies to large sectors of industry.

PALABOS remains open-source and from now on will be further developed by the University of Geneva.
