Precise Simulation Ltd. developer of FEATool Multiphysics FEM and CFD Toolbox for Matlab and Octave (https://www.featool.com) is announcing the release, version 1.7.1. The update features many stability, GUI, and performance improvements. Moreover, a redesigned and simplified mesh and grid generation toolbar has been introduced. New m-script model examples for swirl flow and problems with periodic boundary conditions are also included, as well as built-in functionality for directly sharing simulation results with colleagues and coworkers through Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

Furthermore, the FEATool Multi-Simulation concept has been improved and allows for seamless switching between both built-in and external grid generation, solvers, and simulation tools. With FEATool 1.7.1, Multi-Simulation supports the the FeatFlow high performance computational fluid dynamics CFD and FEniCS multiphysics solvers, the external mesh generators Gmsh, DistMesh, and Triangle, as well as the web based visualization and postprocessing tool Plotly. The multi-simulation functionality is available directly through easy and convenient one-click buttons in the FEATool GUI, as well as with Matlab m-file scripting just as all other FEATool functionality.
