ADT's 25th Anniversary and User Group Meeting

September 11th, 2023 – Advanced Design Technology (ADT), a global leader in turbomachinery design and optimization, is delighted to announce its 25th Anniversary and TURBOdesign Suite User Group Meeting to be held on November 15th and 16th, 2023, at the exclusive Oracle Red Bull Racing Headquarters MK-7, Milton Keynes, MK7 8BJ, UK.

ADT was incorporated in November 1998 with the aim of disseminating widely the advantages of the 3D inverse design to the turbomachinery industry. In these 25 years, many leading companies in automotive, aerospace, industrial and power generation in Europe, North America and Asia have adopted TURBOdesign as their main design tool. As a result, they have considerably reduced the CO2 emissions from their products. Currently, many companies are relying on the unique capabilities of TURBOdesign Suite to develop new products for decarbonisation.

ADT’s TURBOdesign Suite is the only commercial three-dimensional inverse design method applicable to many turbomachinery applications such as pumps, fans, compressors, turbines, torque converters, and supporting axial, mixed-flow, and centrifugal configurations. The benefits provided by the technology range from reduced design time, overall enhancement of turbomachinery applications, to complete control over the designs as opposed to traditional methods.

‘The industrial demand for enhanced turbomachinery performance, faster design cycles, and reduced production costs align perfectly with the distinct benefits of the three-dimensional inverse design method’ says Prof. Mehrdad Zangeneh, founder and Managing Director of ADT and Professor of Thermofluids at University College London (UCL).

'Over the last 25 years, ADT has played a crucial role in helping turbomachinery companies design more efficient turbomachines, significantly reducing CO2 emissions.

Currently our focus is on key opportunities offered by machine learning, automation and new manufacturing methods as well as development of novel turbomachines for decarbonisation. The User Group Meeting in November should provide many interesting presentations by customers and ADT staff on some of these key development areas.’

The event will be a unique opportunity for TURBOdesign users to share their experiences, learn about cutting-edge TURBOdesign solutions from industry leaders in their field, and gain an in-depth understanding of the latest features of the software and its planned future developments.

Registrations for the event are now open for limited places. For more information please visit https://bit.ly/ADT-UGM-2023 or call +44 (0)20 7299 1170.
