Keynote Speakers Announced for Open Source CFD International Conference 2013

The Open Source CFD International Conference is pleased to confirm Mr. Jon Gunner from Koenigsegg Automotive AB, and Prof. Eric Paterson from Virginia Tech, as their Keynote Speakers at this year's conference in Hamburg.

Jon Gunner, Technical Director at Koenigsegg has been confirmed as the opening Industrial Keynote Speaker on Thursday, 24th October. The Swedish hypercar developer is using the open source solver based service iconCFD to push the boundaries of their aerodynamic development, for both in-house and third party projects.

The second keynote of the day will be delivered by Prof. Eric Paterson, Head of the Aerospace and Ocean Engineering Department at Virginia Tech, USA. As a distinguished expert in Computational Fluid Dynamics, his Academic Keynote was eagerly anticipated at the London 2012 event. Unfortunately, he had to cancel last year but is looking forward to speaking in Hamburg. His focus areas are ship and submarine hydrodynamics, renewable energy from hydro and wind turbines, explosives trace detection, cardiovascular fluid dynamics and heart-assist devices.
