Coolit v.15 Released

Posted By: Peggy Chalmers
Date:Mon, 19 Oct 2015, 4:37 p.m.

With the release of Coolit® v.15 and CoolitPCB® v.15 CFD software, Daat Research makes significant strides in the quest for greater user productivity. The new releases deliver an order of magnitude increase in the user interface speed when working with complex CAD-imported objects. The solver has also undergone major improvements with up to 40% solution time cut for most problems and an additional up to 50% boost for forced convection flows with difficult (multivalued) fan curves. Model construction efficiency has been significantly facilitated by adding a second window option to the system, which is particularly effective when using more than one computer monitor.

Considerable new functionality has been added such as Joule heating, precise layer positioning for PCBs, circular/oval PCBs, etc. Viewing computed results and generating reports has been made easier with new CoolPlot which now includes new Probe components, provides the ability to write annotations on still images, and automatically saves the viewing configuration for a reuse, if desired.

Coolit® v.15 and Coolit®PCB v.15 are shipping now.
