Flow Science has announced the release of FLOW-3D/MP v6.1, the high-performance computing version of its flagship CFD software, FLOW-3D. FLOW-3D/MP v6.1 is fully synced with the latest developments in FLOW-3D version 11.1, including active simulation control, batch post processing and report generation.
FLOW-3D/MP users are able to take advantage of the same accuracy in solving complex physics and numerics as well as increased usability in FLOW-3D, but with a significant increase in performance. Performance benchmarks that show scaling up to 512 cores for typical applications of the latest version of the software are available on our website.
A live webinar will be held February 4 at 1:00 pm EST that will discuss the benefits of FLOW-3D/MP v6.1, including how engineers can easily run simulations with very large domains or long runtimes and Flow Science’s cloud computing service for those who want to take advantage of FLOW-3D/MP but don’t want to deal with the cost and headache of managing a cluster. High performance clusters offer significant performance gains over typical desktop computers but can be quite complex to configure. There are many choices for operating systems, middleware, interconnects, memory, and storage. Intel Corporation operates the Intel Cluster Ready certification program to assure users that hardware and software will work correctly together. Hardware that displays the Intel Cluster Ready logo is assured to run software which is also certified as Cluster Ready. FLOW-3D/MP v6.1 is certified Cluster Ready.
