NAFEMS Computational Fluid Dynamics in Engineering
Simulation Seminar will be held on 16th March in Torino,
Italy and registration is free of charge to both members
and non-members of NAFEMS.
The seminar will help CFD engineers and managers answer
questions on:
• How to improve simulation within the engineering
processes
• Best practice in engineering simulation
processes.

Description:
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is widely used in
engineering as an analysis and design tool. Today, CFD
simulations underpin the design of a wide range of
components within, for example, the automotive,
aerospace, chemical and power generation industries,
where CFD has proved to reduce significantly product
design and development cost and time-to-market.
Helped by advances in computer hardware and software, CFD
is increasingly used in multi-disciplinary applications
to simulate engineering systems with complex physics.
This brings new challenges in CFD simulation as to ensure
reliability of the CFD predictions on which important
engineering decisions are based adequate validation
methods and engineering processes need to be used.
The seminar is relevant to engineers, analysts, designers
and managers from industry and academia who work in
engineering simulation.
The seminar will provide:
• An overview of the current challenges in CFD
engineering simulations and best practices
• Examples on how CFD engineering simulations can
be used to improve design and processes.
The presentations will be provided in Italian language.
