HI ALL,
i have a simple question in design modeler. i sliced a volume, then i meshed the parts. the problem is that, when i import the mesh to fluent, the interface between parts will appear as wall. but when i use split tool in gambit, and mesh the parts, in fluent the interface is virtual and is not wall. what should i do in design modeler?? |

Try forming an assembly from the two parts in design modeler.

You have to freeze the part before you slice it.

i know that the slice tool is used just for frozen body.
suppose that i have a cylinder. for having hexa mesh, i have to first slice the cylinder in for parts, then i use multizone tool in ansys meshing, and i make the hexa mesh except the center of the pipe( that it is not important for my case), then i import the mesh to fluent, when i import the mesh in fluent, the contacts between body will appear as walls, but i want to have interior, know what should i do???? |

This is odd.
When I do it like this, interior faces are created automatically in Fluent. You could of course change the walls to interior in Fluent. |
