[ICEM] Meshing of whole car

Hey everyone
I'm trying to calculate aero parameters,lift drag etc. for our Formula Student car.
We have done meshing in ansys workbench meshing but now are thinking of switching to icem. I have done a few tutorials by Far and Ali and ICEM seems tough and might take long time to learn.
Can someone list some points as to why we use ICEM over workbench meshing . Also what kind proficiency in icem will i need to mesh a full car with wings?

It would take some time. But results are much better and more control.

I would do mesh in steps or first i will do the surface mesh (ake shell mesh). second step would be the volume mesh by denaulay. Only problem with denaulay is that it does not recoginsed surface density while octree does.

Or set the appropriate sizes along with curvature and proximaty parameters. But setting sizes is hit and trial and for large models it may time to mesh it again and again. So for that problem i would suggest you to isolate the some parts first and create a small domain and try your sizes. Once they are finalized that set them on your actual model.
