I want to model a turbulent flow in a 3d pipe. I decided to consider 1/4 of it. now I need your help to mesh it in gambit. thanks in advance.

-mAx- will become famous soon enough
as I told you many times in private, please refer to the tutorials:
If you cannot buid and mesh this geometry, then you are a beginner with Gambit.
then please refer to the tutorials
https://www.sharcnet.ca/Software/Gam...uide/tgtoc.htm

This is a very simple geometry: I give you the steps:
* create your cylinder
* create both normal planes
* split your cylinder with both planes
* delete the volume you don't need
>> from here you have your geometry
* mesh it (if everything is ok, Gambit should select automatically cooper mesh)

you will find every basic steps in the tutorials, or help
https://www.sharcnet.ca/Software/Gambit/index.htm

1min work!

you are right my friend, the geometry is simple and I created it. is it OK to use cooper mesh for this geometry as the two sides are symmetric ( my original model was a pipe), how about boundary layer mesh for the wall as I have a mixed of oil and water which to be flowed in pipe.

frankly speaking I am so beginner with gambit as you mentioned.

special thanks for your kindness.

Hi amin

Please say us about boundary conditions, then we can guide you.

Your question is about generating mesh that max explained you.

Best,

Amir
