hi all
i want refine mesh in area of volume that i shown in figure with red color, please guide me, how do this??? i know i can using refinement or sizing, ...) but they dont solve my problem bacause only refined surface no volume, and using body spacing number of cell very high, whether exist way for refined this volume?
thanks

Hi Hamidciv,

Have you tried sphere of influence?
to give sizing in the red circled area, I suggest use "Sphere of influence"
Mesh>Sizing>Type>Sphere of Influence

or Body sizing is another option if you have different parts in your design and you want specific part to be meshed fine!

To check the mesh inside volume, you can slice it and see how is the mesh!
for that go to "Section Planes" and slice your volume from center to see mesh inside!

Hope it helps

Cheers

hi dear kapi
thanks a lot for help me, in your opinion what kind of mesh is efficient for my model? whether you suggested tet/inflation as shown figure? are you agree with tet or hex mesh in this model also In general? are really hex mesh used less element compared to tet mesh and give same resolution tet mesh?
best regards
hamidciv

Hi Hamidciv,

Yes Hex mesh gives less number of elements as compared to Tet mesh because Hex mesh is structured whereas Tet mesh is not.

To get similar accuracy you will need lot more Tet elements as compared to Hex elements which increases your model size and in turn increases time of computing.

You may refer to this 'thread' to compare Tet and Hex mesh!!

For your model specifically I say Hex mesh will give you similar result with less elements and faster computing

Hope It helps

Cheers
