[ICEM] Uncovered faces

Hello, I know this issue has been discussed in previous threads, but none of the solutions I have found solves my problem.

I am meshing the geometry that you can see in the picture. I want to mesh the air that surrounds the cones, so the cones itself are empty. I am only considering their surface.

I have tried making the block in 3 different ways and it doesnt make any difference. They all look like the one in the picture.

When I try Edit Mesh-Check Mesh-Check/fix each, and I allow the program to fix the uncovered faces, it creates a new part that involves the whole geometry and I dont know what to do with it when I import it to Fluent.

Please, if you think of any common mistake I have probably made or a possible solution, tell me. I would be so grateful, I have spent the last week trying to solve this problem.

Have exported the mesh to fluent ?

I think if you determine the name of that new part will help you more (when you select "fix" at the left down corner of it you can enter the name of new part) and if you already have done that inspect the part individually, it must be just a shell that wants to get its boundary condition!

I have another problem with uncovered face!

I have done what simon said in http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ans...h-writing.html but still I get critical errors in fluent during reading mesh file!

can you show us blocking strategy?

why you have tetra mesh?
