Hi all,
I drew a model in catia and saved as a stp file. Model (a parallelepiped) has dimensions 1x1.5x1 m. One of the faces has to be split by a thin strip of thickness 4 mm. I drew this split eaysilly in catia but when I import the stp model to ICEM there is no the thin split. Other geometry is created but the strip does not. Does anyone know how to fix it? I tried tolerances in settings but with no success.

Maybe try saving it as a different file type, like CATIA V4 or parasolid, and then loading it in to ICEM. I just know that .stp files give me a lot of problems in ICEM.

Hi diamondx,
Of course I did it. But it seems that ICEM does not see so small elements. After split the surface is still unsplit. I think that this issue can be the result of tolerances but I cannot find where it is. Any ideas?
