hello everybody
I have a tube that it's diameter is changing with x direction. I have found an equation for it's diameter based on x. can i give this equation to icem for geometry? if yes where is it? has anybody a tutorial? |

Hello mohammad,
i don't recall a way to generate such a geometry analytical. However, you could discretise your function. Which means... generate points with you function. Then connect those points to a spline/curve and rotate it to get your tube. To draw as many point as you need you have at least two possible ways: # import formatted point data # programm a short tcl script Formatted point data is a csv file with coordinates for each point. Plus, in the first line is a number which is the amount of points. Have a look in the help. When you need to write a script, have a look here: generate a curve or surface in the axi-symmetric geometry with ICEM with regards, Sebastian |
