Hello everyone,

I am trying to generate a structured mesh of different parts of a valve using Multizone option and ICEM.

After creating the mesh of this part and checking the mesh quality I converted it to unstructured mesh, saved and closed ICEM, but when back in WB it displays the error "Multizone could not generate a valid mesh".
I don't really understand if the mesh I created has a poor quality or there is some other issues with Ansys Meshing.

Not sure if MultiZone requires a conformal mesh, but at least your mesh is not conformal. So,maybe that is the problem.

For other visitors that had the same issue:

The body is divided into discontinuous body (block) virtually in ICEM.​
​Although this condition is not a problem within ICEM, when returning to ANSYS Meshing, it is impossible to represent a form in which one solid body is divided into multiple parts.
By splitting the body from the beginning in spaceclaim or design modeler there is no problem.

Apparently with the multiZone option is possible to generate a non conformal mesh, but, when using ICEM, all the single part have to be meshed separately
