Problems with ICEM inflation layer

I have applied an inflation layer to a curve in a 2D mesh. The inflation layer does not extend to the end elements. Where the curve meets the adjacent curves the mesh becomes very poor quality due to the difference in element size. I have tried adding a geometric bunching to the adjacent curves to fix this but it is not working. Is there any way to extend the inflation layer to the end element, or fix the adjacent wall. Thanks
