nicholasRackham is on a distinguished road
Due to the limitation of Star-CCM+'s catenary line coupling, as the lines droop when slack and do not rest on the boundary surface, I am trying to couple star with AQWA as this mooring line / domain surface interaction can be modelled. I am currently implementing some java macros in star to write the XYZ forces and moments to an XFT file, which is to be read in AQWA's hydrodynamic time response > Structures force. I am wondering if anyone can shed any light on how I can write a macro in AQWA to have AQWA read an XFT file every time step.

Initialy I wanted to import the motion data into AQWA but I am unsure how this can be done.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks,

Nick
