Hi, in working on thermal analysis of exhaust valve and seat in CFX through workbench . I place the valve in different positions from the seat and I need to use the last obtained solution in seat and valve and the control volume between them ( which is expanding 1 mm in every step ) from the previous position as the initial condition for the current position, but I don't know how to do that . I'm using workbench and have made my geometry in Ansys Design Modeler and I analyze it in CFX . Can anyone help me on this problem ? Thanks in advance .

This sounds like it should be modelled as a true transient simulation with a moving valve, not a sequence of psuedo-steady state cases.
