Hi
I have a high performance PC for numerical analysis in laboratory. Is there any way to make my simulation ready for run at home and just run it in laboratory. I use a network software for remote control of the PC from home and it's hard to set up simulation on CFX using remote control softwares. So if there is any simple way to import a file and click the run button please inform me about that.
Does case & data file work on CFX like Fluent? Is there similar ways for this issue in CFX?
Thank you.

Hi,

Do you have CFX on your home PC? If so you could do all of your pre-processing at home and write a solver input file (.def I think) once you're finished. Then you can log in to the laboratory PC remotely, transfer the solver input file and run the analysis.

Good luck,
Dave

Thank you for your advice.
def file(CFX-solver manager input file) is created in this directory:
C:\Users\PC-PC\Desktop\A06_files\dp0\CFX\CFX
It is possible to import this file directly to CFX-pre using "import case" option, then simply start cfx-solver manager and run the simulation.

you can run the case like that BUT you break the connection to the wb-project. in other words - use the wb for creating the *.def and re-import the *.res for post-processing. Also keep in mind, that you cannot do a parametric study this way (at least not as easy).
