I sometimes need to play the same CFX .pre session to tens of Workbench CFX pre files. It is time consuming to open every CFX pre file and play the session to change the settings in each of them one by one, because each CFX pre file opening costs more than 40 seconds. So I’m wondering is there a way to change settings in CFX pre file or play sessions on it without opening it?

Session files and pre files are text files. You can edit them in a text editor.

you can also change the def file from the solver before running it with the Solver Editor (tool -> edit solver files or Ctrl+E)

CFX pre file is a .cfx file. Are you sure it is a text file and can be edited by a text editor?

Session file is a text file. But it is time consuming to open .cfx file to run it. That was my question. I'd like to avoid opening cfx pre file (.cfx file).

The .cfx file is a binary file and not easily edited. But the .pre file (which you originally asked about) is a text file and is easily editted.

You can run it all from the command line, including loading the cfx, session or pre file.
