I have successfully run my simulation (convection-conduction problem). I thought it was running smoothly. However, I noticed that the temperature of the test material continues to increase linearly, even exceeding the temperature of the medium. The temperature of the medium is set at a constant temperature of 328K and a heat transfer coefficient of 30W/m^2.K. The initial temperature of the test material is 298K.
I put 'monitor points' in the test material to observe the temperature change on that particular point over time. After a 1-hour (total time) transient run, the temperature at the monitor points have reached up to 346K, way higher than the maximum temperature set for the run. What could have been the problem? Every advice is highly appreciated. |
