k-omega turbulence model: having difficulty diagnosing flaws

hello dear friends
i need to Deficiencies of k-omega model? whether it depend on both parameter (k , omega) or only one parameter? Where (e.g BC, IC) the exact value of these parameters And type of them (e.g k or omega) is important? I did not the perfect reference for it, if your possible , please help me about Deficiencies of this model? i also read the manual of cfx, but it dont solve my problem. thanks a lot for any comments best regards hamid Last edited by hamidciv; January 7, 2016 at 04:55. |

Hi Hamid,
I'm not sure if I understand what you are asking for... Are you looking for general advantages and disadvantages of the k-e-model? I'm sure you will find a lot of them in scientific papers and books. When I was studying the different turbulence models, books like Wilcox' "Turbulence Modeling for CFD" helped me a lot. For a quick overview, you can also use this. In the literature, you will also find explanations and information about the parameters. |

You can read Wilcox's book on turbulence (a mandatory reading for anyone starting in turbulence modeling)
