Hi,

I don’t understand why I don’t see Mass Imbalance of Air in a multiphase flow simulation (water & air) in the CFX-Solver. I see only ’’RMS Mass (Water)’’ and ’’Mass Imbalance (Water)’’. For your information, I use the Homogeneous model. Somebody knows why ?

Thank you

Have you looked in the documentation? That explains the equations it is solving when you turn on various physical models.

Yes of course. With homogeneous model, it is mentioned that 3 momentum equations are solving (Um,Vm,Wm,P), two phasic continuity equation (r_{\alpha}, r_{\beta}) and one volume conservation equation.

Close, but not quite. It is solving 3 momentum equations and continuity (UVWP), and a volume fraction equation.

The second volume fraction is simply 1-vf of the other phase, so no solution matrix is required for that one.
