Dear all, I have a model created by ICEM_CFD . The data are: ? Global Number of Nodes, Elements, and Faces : ? Global Number of Nodes= 65613 ? Global Number of Elements=293684 ? Total Number of Tetrahedrons=293684 ? Global Number of Faces=63034 Then why the nodes is 65613 ,my sense is that it should be greater than the number of Tetrahedrons? Thanks in advance for response!

Hi Kiddo
Nodes are shared by Tetrahedrons, if there are more than 4 Tetrahedrons share one node, it's fairly possible to have less nodes than Tetrahedrons. Regards, Forrest |

Thanks, yes, I just test a cuboid with(1x1x1) and mesh it with 12 tetra and I got 9 nodes. Thanks again!
