calculatiing difference in pressure,dp

Hi all,
I am modelling a sail so have an infintiely thin wall in the middle of my domain (sail). I am trying to export this to a structural solver but I need the difference in pressure, dp across the sail/wall. Is there any way of doing this in CFX before xporting? Otherwise i will have to export the 2 pressure files, and then subtract 1 from the other. To make things worse the meshes are different on both sides of the sail. |

I cant think of a way to do that in Post. Exporting the two XYZ+pressure results sets and then writing your own interpolator would be no more complex than trying to do it in Post (which I dont think could be done anyway.)

Another way might be to create your FEA mesh, then read the cdb file into post and let post interpolate onto this FEA mesh. Do this for both sides of the sail, output the data using export and then work out the dp using a simple excel spreadsheet. Since the node pressures on both sides are all in identical locations you don't have to write an interpolation routine.
