Hi everybody,
I simulated a radial fan with 10 blades. I calculated the Torque in Blades. I would like to know how can I calculate the efficieny of the fan??. I use an equation as mentioned below to calculate the efficieny but I am not sure whether the units of the parameters are correct. Because the answer are not logical. sometimes 0,2 sometimes 200 Eff=( Q*Dptotal)/(Omega*Torque) Q=m³/s Dptotal= Pa or N/m² Omega= 1/s Torque= N.m Best wishes |

I have calculated the efficiency by the same equation but with the below units: Eff=( Q*Dptotal)/(Omega*Torque) Q=m³/s Dptotal= Pa or N/m² Omega= rad/s Torque= N.m I can say that I have a reasonable efficiency value. But please verify this Equation through your results. I hope I could give you the right answer. regards, |
