Hi,

Thanks for replying to my previous questions.
I have a new question about the particle transport solid model. I want to make simulations for solid non-spherical particles and to do that, I should define the particle shape through the surface and cross-sectional area factors. In the documentation (section 8.5.3.2) of the solver modelling guide, these two factors are defined, but it is still not clear to me how to calculate these factors.
Also in this case, which drag model should be used as according to CFX documentations, the Schiller Naumann model should be only used for spherical particles ?

Have a look at the available drag models in CFX. There are many non-spherical models, but I suspect you will find they are all for non-spherical gas bubbles in liquid so might not be appropriate for your case.

If the built in models are not appropriate for your case then you will have to define your own drag model using CEL or user fortran.
