datt is on a distinguished road
Hi,

I am working on a helical pipe heat transfer simulations. A copper pipe with water as the fluid. Solar radiation is incident on this pipe vertically.

I know how to give the heat flux boundary condition for the entire curved area. What I dont know is how to give a variable heat flux BC across the peripheri? Because practically, only the sine component of solar radiation will be incident on the unit area. And that too only for the upper half of the pipe.

The CCL files and the picture of the coil are attached.

Feel free to ask for clarifications.

Thanks in advance,

Datt.
