Hi, I m running 2-way FSI with steady conditions, which will eventually used as initial condition for transient FSI.
Is it ok if I used transient structual instead of static structual to couple with CFX in ansys workbench? Thanks! |

AFAIK 2-way coupling needs a transient struct. approach. What do you mean by "steady conditions" (inflow, pressure e.g.)?

I am using ANSYS CFX with ANSYS workbench to setup the solid part.
I am running with steady flow boundary conditions. Thanks! |

Using transient structural is OK for this. It's actually better to use transient structural for the steady part if you intend to later switch it to a true transient, since it makes the switch easier. You can turn off time integration in the transient structural analysis if you want to get steady behavior, then turn it back on when starting the real transient. When you start the real transient note that it won't be starting from time = 0, since some "time" will have been completed in the "steady" part.
