I am modelling a wave tank and as I made the simulation more elaborate, I ran into the same problem and the solution in the link worked.
http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/cfx...ase-model.html But I have one question, when changing the user specified direction partitioning option, do the inputted values matter, as long as the free surface and the partition boundary don't line up? I inputted arbitrary values and the simulation appears to be running correctly, but I have many more to run! Cheers |

The main thing is to get the partition boundaries away from the free surface. I fyou have achieved that then all is well.
