Hi,
I am running cold flow simulations from a pre-existing combustion model case. Deleted the relevant species and parcel related parts, so no injection or combustion. But still chose to run as a Crank angle based simulation rather than time. No errors or warnings from the Final Validation. However on running received the following error log reading engine.in data from file engine.in reading amr.in data from file amr.in turbulence_solver_flag = 1 in inputs.in, reading in turbulence.in reading turbulence.in data from file turbulence.in reading solver.in data from file solver.in JOB ABORT invoked by rank 0: 1868 ERROR: no mech.dat file specified in inputs.in or species.in found MPI Application rank 0 exited before MPI_Finalize() with status 1 Is it that "cold flow" type simulations can only run in a time based mode?? |

SOLVED
running a cold-flow case requires Species to be ticked within the Materials section along with the Gas simulation. Once O2 and N2 are added to the Gas section, the simulation will run |
