Hello all,

I have something that is really unlogic. I am running a simulation using LES where I have a jet flow out from a nozzle. When I am trying to use the Law of Wall B.C. with LES, I got this error message:
When Law-of-wall is used in velocity or temperature, WallModel (DI) must be used in eps.

What does not make any sense to me is that, one of the example cases, named "Volvo rig SAGE transient LES", LES is used with Law of Wall B.C. without any errors in validating the case setup.

Anyone has a clue why I got two different outputs from the same settings ?

Thanks in advance,

Please diff your case setup and the Volvo example case setup. If they are the same but the outputs are different, please send your case files to support@convergecfd.com. It also helps if you can tell the CONVERGE version, MPI and number of cores.

Hi,

The allowed type of turbulence boundary conditions depends on the turbulence model you choose. Please make sure that you are using the same turbulence model as the example case. And before you run the case, you can load the case to Studio and run the case setup diagnosis to see if everything is fine. Normally, the inconsistency in boundary conditions should be detected. I hope this helps.
